What? Better than the thunder in an Oscar-nominated Feature Film?
("Pirates of the Caribbean 2 - Dead Man's Chest" was nominated for an Oscar in best sound and thunder from my 1999 CD release "Suburban Thunder" was used in the film)


Don't be surprised if this thunder blasts into a Hollywood feature film!


Here's why:

Since the release of my first "thunderstorm CD" in 1999, people have asked me for more. So, I put myself and my microphones in harm's way and a new "thunderstorm CD" was born: "Thunderstorms 2006". Guess what? People still wanted more.



You want more thunder? More DRAMATIC thunder? More PROFESSIONALLY RECORDED thunder - from the lightning capital of North America? You want DRY THUNDER (that is thunder without rain)? Oh, but you want rain too? And you'd like some hail? And you want me to top my previous CDs (all without getting KILLED)?


No problem! But don't come crying to me if you blow your speakers

Thunderstorms 2007 is all new - never before released t-storm recordings that I made during the 2007 Tampa rainy season (along with a few strikes that I added from early 2008). These storms are not on any of my other CDs.

Production notes. Thunderstorms 2007 was recorded, edited and mastered by Michael Oster at F7 Sound and Vision, Tampa, Florida.


Technical notes. Thunderstorms 2007 was recorded with a matched stereo pair of Earthworks QTC-1 microphones and a Sound Devices 702 24 bit solid state digital recorder. Editing and mastering were done on a 24 bit Pro Tools system. This is the same recording equipment used in the production of feature films and award winning CDs.
